The User Interface (UI) Developer is responsible for creating and maintaining patterns within our design system. This system is the central means for maintaining and improving the User Experience of all our products through the combination of analysis, research, feedback and new technologies. 

This includes the following responsibilities: 
• Keeping up to date with new technologies and market trends;
• Analysis of user interface challenges; 
• Delivering futureproof solutions;
• Creating new patterns within the Design System;
• Improving/refactoring existing patterns;
• Assisting with implementation of the User Interface within products;

The ultimate goal of the function is to create and maintain a consistent experience for our customers and support the customer teams with the styling of their products. The UI Developer is part of both the UI team and a designated customer team and works closely with our User Experience and Visual Designers in order to bring our customers the best experience as possible.
To be effective in this role you need the following skills and experience:
• You have a highly structured and goal-oriented approach to work
• Good effective social skills
• Knowledge of web and software technologies such as HTML5, jQuery, NodeJS, SCSS and Git.
• Affinity with Design Systems and responsive design
• Affinity with visual and user experience design
• Educational background: HBO / WO
• Fluent in Dutch and English (speech and written)

The UI Developer reports to the Channel Owner Web, who is part of the User Experience & Design department.
