If you also have experience with building and delivering on both strategic PR and internal communication plans in close collaboration with multiple stakeholders, you may be the Head of PR & Internal Communications we are looking for at Saxo Bank in the Netherlands.

In this role, you are primarily responsible for positioning Saxo in the media as the best choice for investors and traders who want to impact their lives by making informed and optional financial decisions in the Netherlands (traders and investors). You are also responsible for ensuring effective and up to date internal communication. You are not afraid to dive into the details and execute with efficiency and impact, and you are also able to zoom out and propose strategic communication solutions to support the bank's commercial initiatives in the country.

Responsibilities
On a day-to-day basis, your responsibilities as Head of PR & Internal Communications include, but are not limited to:

  • Drive PR and support branding for Saxo Bank in the Netherlands via multiple channel communication, content development and thought leadership in line with Marketing and Digital Communication's strategies and initiatives
  • Draft press releases and thought leadership content to support product launches or other corporate announcements
  • Establish relationships with key reporters in the Netherlands to promote Saxo Bank and enhance brand awareness and familiarity locally
  • Work closely with the local management and leadership in order to align communications and train and prepare leadership for communication purposes in the media
  • Work with local marketing and commercial teams to build a coherent social media strategy, leveraging content and potentially influencers to build brand awareness amongst target groups
  • Ensure consistency in how the brand is positioned and communicated in external communications and engagements
  • Work closely with our local PR agency in the Netherlands, SXO colleagues and the PR agency in Belgium

You will be based in Amsterdam and be part of Saxo's Communications department based in the bank's HQ in Copenhagen. You will report to the Global Head of Communication in Copenhagen and work across the organization to make a true impact in PR in the Netherlands.

Your profile
As Head of PR & Internal Communications for the Netherlands:

  • You are an energetic person who can work independently, think out of the box and take accountability
  • You have a strong background in PR and Communication
  • You have experience in working with marketeers and handling PR agencies
  • You have excellent media connections and a strong knowledge of the media landscape in the Netherlands
  • You have worked with internal communication in a fast-paced international organization before
  • You are comfortable with collaboration and reaching across teams and functional borders and serve as a liaison when needed
  • You are creative and resourceful
  • You understand the latest developments in PR and have multiple years of experience within the discipline
  • You are a native Dutch speaker with a proven track record in writing communication, and you have also excellent verbal and writing skills in English

Other requirements:

  • University level education, disciplines in PR, Communication or Marketing preferred but open to other related fields that demand strong writing and analytical skills
  • Excellent understanding of the (financial) media landscape in the Netherlands is a must. Excellent command of verbal and written Dutch and English is a must. Understanding of capital markets is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Curious and well-informed about the latest trends in investing, fintech and financial services, including client preferences and media consumption.
